Who we are

In the late 1700’s and early 1800’s, many who were leaders in their respective church backgrounds realized that a lot of teaching in their churches was not from the Bible and were determined to get back to the basics. Customs and traditions seemed to have taken the lead and an effort was made to restore the principles of the early (1st Century) Church. The” Restoration Movement”  as it came to be known, sought to restore the practices of worship, faith and service to those practiced in the early new testament church.

The independent Churches of Christ (including Rosscarrock) are autonomous. Their common faith in the Bible and devotion to its teachings are the chief ties which bind them together. There is no central headquarters of the church, and no organization that governs our local congregation.

The Bible tells us "Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25
